ALBERT RAMPRASAD, B.Sc., P.Eng.
Albert Ramprasad is the owner of Ramprasad Engineers Inc. He brings to this dynamic organization over 20 years of experience in civil and municipal design, structural design, mining and utilities design, building inspection, feasibility studies, project management and construction management.
Albert's professional engineering career started when he was assigned to the position of Mining Production Engineer at Guyana Bauxite Co. Ltd. located in Guyana, South America. After coming to Canada in 1973, he worked as a Junior Structural Engineer in the steel manufacturing plant of Star Steel Limited in Toronto. Upon moving to Alberta in 1977, Mr. Ramprasad worked as Civil Project Engineer at Masters Associated Consulting Engineers Ltd. in Edmonton and as Senior Civil Engineer in the Site Services Department at Syncrude Canada Ltd. in Fort McMurray.
In 1986, Mr. Ramprasad moved back to Toronto where he spent one year with Kofman Engineering Ltd. as Project Manager of several major projects in Western Canada. He then moved on to the position of Construction Manager for the renowned Giffels Enterprises Inc. for 3 years.
In 1991,Mr: Ramprasad started his design/build company, Ramprasad Enterprises Inc., which has now merged with E.H. Engineering Ltd. to form Durham Engineering Ltd. Albert is currently working on a major bridge project, to be implemented in his native Guyana.
Albert holds a B.Sc. degree in Civil Engineering from the University of West Indies. He also attended the University of Toronto and the University of Alberta for post graduate studies in Municipal Engineering and Structural Engineering.
